The Engagement

Friday 9th December 2016

We had just spent the morning and afternoon at Hong Kong Park, and the Zoo and Botanical Gardens, eating ice cream and looking at the animals.

We headed over to the Peak Tram Lower Terminus. This tram takes you up the side of the the Victoria Peak Hill, reaching 27 degrees gradient and giving you a great (and sideways) view of the harbour. It took 45 minutes of queuing but we eventually made it up to the top and headed straight to the Sky Terrace at 4pm.

The Sky Terrace is a viewing platform at the top of the hill, giving 360 degree views of Hong Kong. We took photos and after 1 hour, I wanted to go. It was getting very crowded and cold, but Panda wanted to stay until the lights went down. I agreed to wait.

The sun finally disappeared, and the Hong Kong skyline lit up.

Panda took me over to the only corner of the Sky Terrace where there were no other people, and pulled a giant white cuddly rabbit from his bag. He then took out a ring and asked me to marry him. I said yes…then hugged the giant bunny!

Did you get a giant cuddly bunny when you got engaged? Share you engagement stories with us!
